HR Manager

I am seeking an experienced and resourceful HR Generalist to work closely with senior management to drive the people agenda throughout their dynamic company. This role is crucial in delivering HR strategies aligned with the company’s ambitious growth plans and involves managing a wide range of activities from employee relations to talent management. This position offers the opportunity to shape the workforce and culture of a fast-moving, entrepreneurial organisation.
Job Purpose:
- Execute people strategies and plans to align with company objectives.
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and records ensuring compliance with current laws including GDPR.
- Oversee recruitment activities, ensuring processes are efficient and compliant with budget and legal standards such as IR35.
- Negotiate contracts with external providers to ensure value for money and quality service.
- Administer and oversee the company’s learning and development programs, supporting line managers in staff training and development.
- Conduct bi-annual job description reviews and provide HR advisory services for various employee relations matters.
- Review compensation and benefits programs to ensure they are competitive and effective in attracting and retaining talent.
- Analyse HR data and prepare reports for the Board and leadership teams, and deliver quarterly Town Halls.
- Act as the Health & Safety Representative for office staff and handle other reasonable duties as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven HR management experience, ideally in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- In-depth knowledge of HR best practices and a successful track record in delivering HR strategies.
- Experience in recruitment and onboarding, with familiarity with platforms like Indeed.
- Strong ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent coaching, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Integrity, honesty, and reliability with a pragmatic and proactive approach to work.
- Effective communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ideally a Postgraduate Degree in Human Resource Management or CIPD Level 7, or a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
