An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Interim Head of Legal for a globally recognised organisation operating across multiple sectors, committed to excellence in education, research, and professional services. This Interim Head of Legal role is based in Warwickshire and is for a duration of 12 months.

My client are seeking an experienced Head of Legal to head their Risk, Resolution, Information & Legal Services function. This is a key role within the organisation offering an opportunity to make a significant impact by advising on Legal, Risk and Compliance Issues often with an international element. This is an opportunity to lead change transformation in the business.

Job Title: Head of Legal Contract: 12-month FTCLocation: Warwickshire Salary: £93,000 - £120,000Working Pattern: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategy for Risk, Resolution, Information & Legal Services aligned with organisational goals.

• Provide timely, practical legal advice ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

• Implement effective risk management processes.

• Advise senior leaders on legal and regulatory developments.

• Oversee legal matters including commercial agreements, partnerships, and trusts.

• Manage external legal providers for cost-effective expert advice.

• Represent the organisation externally and serve on internal committees.

• Lead and develop the team to ensure high performance and growth.

Essential Skills & Experience

• UK Qualified Solicitor with Commerical Contracts experience gained in Private Practice or In House environment.

• Senior-level legal experience in advising on a range of risk and compliance issues across the business.

• Strong risk management expertise.

• Proven leadership and team development skills.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Desirable

• Knowledge of Higher Education regulations.

• Experience in Higher Education or Public Sector.
