Interim Head of Finance Operations - Partner Financial : Job Details

Partner Financial are working in collaboration with a rapidly growing, heavily backed start-up technology business. The environment is highly dynamic, fast paced and the firm has grown significantly since it was founded, expecting to turnover over £100m after just three years trading.

The successful candidate will be responsible for bringing accountancy processes in house and growing its finance function, owning the management accounts and setting up the chart of accounts along with budgeting, forecasting and there will have some operational responsibilities too.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day activity of the Finance team, including the month-end process;
• Conduct regular meetings with the operational department heads to help provide insight into their performance and any such variances;
• Completion of the reporting pack and be the first point of contact to discuss queries;
• Reviewing and monitoring of the intercompany templates and ensure transactions are signed-off;
• Ensuring adequate processes and controls are in-place, ensuring a best in class function
• Getting involved with various ad-hoc tasks throughout the department and always seeking to improve processes where possible.

The Candidate:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA);
• Strong stakeholder management skills;
• Previous experience working in a high-growth and hands-on environment
• Comfortable in relating complex financial strategies to non-financial stakeholders;
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team but also understanding the impact on the wider team;
• Excellent IT literacy, especially MS Excel;
• Highly organised, with a strong track record of meeting frequent, tight deadlines.
