SummaryA London-based cultural institution is seeking an Interim Head of Finance for a 12-month contract to lead their finance function during a critical period. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong financial accounting skills and team management experience.  Our ClientThis well-established organisation has a collaborative and mission-driven culture. The finance team is engaged and committed, with most members working on-site an average of four days per week, but minimum requirement is 3 days a week in the office.   The RoleThe Interim Head of Finance will oversee core finance operations, including month-end processes, year-end accounts, and budget planning. You’ll manage a medium sized team across AP, AR, management accounting, and procurement, and act as a key member of the senior leadership team. This is an operational role focused on delivery and team leadership rather than strategic planning.  Main Duties
  • Lead the finance team and ensure smooth delivery of month-end and year-end processes
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles
  • Oversee transactional finance, including multi-currency reconciliations and credit card receipts
  • Maintain accurate general ledger and financial reporting
  • Represent finance across the organisation and ensure integration with wider teams
  The Successful Candidate
  • Qualified accountant with strong financial accounting experience
  • Proven ability to lead a finance team and manage operational processes
  • Experience with international transactions and reconciliations
  • Comfortable working in a consumer-facing environment (e.g. charity retail or fundraising)
  • Able to hit the ground running and integrate quickly with the team
  What’s on Offer?
  • circa £70,000 per annum (FTC) or approx. £400/day (umbrella)
  • Hybrid working – 3 days+ per week on-site (London)
