Job Title: Interim Head of Consolidation and ReportingLocation: Manchester City Centre (Hybrid Working)Salary: Up to £90,000 per annumContract: 12-Month Fixed Term ContractStart Date: ASAP - must be able start by the 1st October at the very latest, ideally immediately available.Are you a technically strong finance professional with expertise in group consolidation and external reporting? We are partnering with a listed organisation headquartered in Manchester City Centre to recruit an Interim Head of Consolidation and Reporting on a 12-month fixed-term basis.This is a pivotal role in the Group Finance team, leading the preparation and delivery of high-quality consolidated financial reporting in line with IFRS and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in supporting the business through a period of transition and change, acting as the go-to technical expert for consolidation and reporting matters.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the group consolidation process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Own the preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS and other relevant regulations.
- Oversee the half-year and year-end reporting processes, including liaison with external auditors.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and support across the group.
- Partner with senior leadership, including Group Finance, FP&A, and investor relations, to ensure alignment in financial communication.
- Drive process improvements and system enhancements within the reporting function.
- Support ad hoc projects, including corporate transactions, system implementations, or regulatory changes.
About You:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent), ideally trained in a top-tier practice environment.
- Proven experience in group consolidation and external reporting within a listed environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and group accounting.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Experience with reporting tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, HFM) is advantageous.
