Interim Financial Controller | Fast Growth SaaS/FinTech Start-Up | Outside IR35

The Client

Harmonic are delighted to working with a fast growth SaaS/FinTech Start-Up, who have expanded considerably across the UK and Europe over the past 18 months, to find them an Interim Financial Controller on an initial 6-month basis to support the Finance Director as they go through a period of high workload and extensive change in the finance team. Our client's office is based walking distance from Farringdon station and are open to both hybrid and remote working models depending on the candidates preferences.

The Role

Reporting directly into their Finance Director, this position will lead up the accounting function in the UK and be hands on with process improvement, automation, and system implementation. Being a business that operates across the UK, Europe and the US, the ideal candidate will have multicurrency experience and be confident with consolidations across multiple currencies. Experience is a Tech scale-up is also preferable, this could be either VC or PE backed. It is also likely a position suited towards someone from an audit background who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get hands on with numbers.

Duties

• Ownership of the UK portion of the year end audit preparation and execution.
• Effectively manage upward, providing the senior leadership with key financial insights and advice from a Finance perspective.
• Partner with Finance Director, CEO, & executive team to develop commercial strategy.
• Advise and implement a new ERP system.
• Develop robust financial controls.
• R&D Tax claims.

Essential Skills

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
• Experience developing Financial Controls.
• Experience leading on audit preparation and delivery.
• Experience using Xero.
• Experience and active interest in Technology and SaaS businesses.
• An understanding of UKGAAP & IFRS is strongly preferred.

Bonus Skills

• Previous experience in a VC or PE Backed business.

Day Rate: £400-£500/day (Outside IR35)

Start Date: ASAP
