Interim Finance Manager - Andover with hybrid working - 9-12months Fixed-Term Contract

Our client, a small yet multinational business based in Andover, is seeking a capable and hands-on Interim Finance Manager to support them during a key transition. This role will provide essential day-to-day financial management while they review the longer-term structure of their finance team and decide on a permanent solution.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll take ownership of the finance function, managing everything from month-end reporting to cash flow and helping improve financial processes. It's a varied role well suited to someone with a "roll up your sleeves" approach.

Due to the interim nature of the role, only candidates available on 1 week notice or less will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Head of Finance with the preparation of statutory accounts
• Liaising with the external auditors
• Prepare monthly management accounts
• Maintain accurate ledgers and oversee daily transactions
• Manage cash flow and support forecasting
• Process VAT returns and ensure HMRC compliance
• Liaise with external accountants on statutory reporting
• Support payroll and pensions administration
• Assist with budgeting and variance analysis
• Recommend process improvements where appropriate

Skills/Experience:

• Qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), or qualified by experience
• Prior experience in a Finance Manager or similar role, ideally in an SME
• Confident with accounting software and Excel
• Able to work independently and take initiative
