Our client, a leading player in the energy sector, is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to support financial reporting, forecasting, and compliance during a period of transition. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and group consolidations
Ensure financial statements are prepared in compliance with IFRS and relevant UK GAAP standards
Liaise with external auditors and assist with audit readiness and delivery
Own the budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with FP&A and operational teams
Deliver insightful variance analysis and financial commentary for senior stakeholders
Provide strategic support to senior leadership during period-end closes and ad hoc financial projects
Maintain and improve financial controls and reporting processes
Support transition to new reporting systems or accounting tools if applicable
Essential Requirements:
Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, including revenue recognition (IFRS 15), leases (IFRS 16) and impairment (IAS 36)
Experience within the energy, utilities or infrastructure sector is highly desirable
Prior exposure to listed or multinational group reporting environments
Comfortable working in a fast-changing, interim role with minimal supervision
Excellent Excel skills; familiarity with reporting systems such as Oracle or NetSuite is an advantage
Available to start immediately or on short notice
Contract Details:
Day Rate: £450 (Outside IR35)
Duration: 6 - 9 months (potential for extension)
Salary : 400 - 500
