Employee Relations Advisor

Nottinghamshire (Hybrid - 2-3 days on site per week)Temporary (3-6 months)£16-£19 per hour + holiday pay

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a large public sector organisation for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join their People Business Partnering team on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a high-performing HR function during a period of transformation and change.

You will play a key role in delivering a proactive, high-quality ER advisory service, supporting managers with a wide range of complex and sensitive employee relations matters. This includes casework, investigations, hearings, and organisational change initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on employment law, policies, and procedures.

• Manage a portfolio of ER casework including absence, conduct, grievance, and performance issues.

• Support and advise on investigations, hearings, and resolution meetings.

• Promote a fair and consistent approach to ER matters, aligned with organisational values.

• Support organisational change processes including consultation and redeployment.

• Deliver ER-related training and coaching to managers.

• Contribute to policy development and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• Strong working knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.

• Proven experience managing complex ER casework in a large organisation.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships.

• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt to change.

• Experience supporting organisational change and consultation processes is desirable.

Additional Information

• This role is offered on a temporary basis for 3-6 months.

• Hybrid working is available, with 2-3 days per week required on site.

• Pay is £16-£19 per hour, plus holiday pay.
