Employee Relations Advisor
Nottinghamshire (Hybrid - 2-3 days on site per week)Temporary (3-6 months)£16-£19 per hour + holiday pay
About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a large public sector organisation for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join their People Business Partnering team on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a high-performing HR function during a period of transformation and change.
You will play a key role in delivering a proactive, high-quality ER advisory service, supporting managers with a wide range of complex and sensitive employee relations matters. This includes casework, investigations, hearings, and organisational change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert advice on employment law, policies, and procedures.
Manage a portfolio of ER casework including absence, conduct, grievance, and performance issues.
Support and advise on investigations, hearings, and resolution meetings.
Promote a fair and consistent approach to ER matters, aligned with organisational values.
Support organisational change processes including consultation and redeployment.
Deliver ER-related training and coaching to managers.
Contribute to policy development and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Strong working knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
Proven experience managing complex ER casework in a large organisation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships.
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt to change.
Experience supporting organisational change and consultation processes is desirable.
Additional Information
This role is offered on a temporary basis for 3-6 months.
Hybrid working is available, with 2-3 days per week required on site.
Pay is £16-£19 per hour, plus holiday pay.
