Job Title: Director of Integrated Commissioning – London

Location: London

Contract Type: 3–6 Month Interim Contract

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Band: NHS Band 9 (equivalent)

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Integrated Commissioning to join our London-based Integrated Care Partnership on a 3–6 month interim basis.

This senior leadership role will provide strategic oversight and direction for the commissioning of physical and mental health and care services for adults and children across London. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving integration across health, social care, and community services, ensuring high-quality, sustainable services that improve outcomes for London residents.

• Provide strategic leadership for commissioning services across adult social care, mental health, community health, and other key areas.
• Oversee pooled budgets, including the Better Care Fund, ensuring value for money and robust governance.
• Drive transformation and integration of services, ensuring they are person-centred and outcome-focused.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including NHS leaders, local authority officers, elected members, and voluntary sector partners.
• Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary commissioning team to deliver high-performing, innovative, and collaborative services.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Significant leadership experience in integrated health and social care commissioning.
• A track record of managing complex budgets and delivering transformational change.
• Strong interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills.
• The ability to operate effectively in a politically sensitive environment.
• An understanding of national policy and best practice in integrated health and social care.
