Integration Project Accountant

Midlands (2 days travel per week with 3 days from home)

£70,000 + Excellent benefits

As Integration Project Accountant, reporting into our clients Lead Integration Accountant you will support finance integration efforts, ensuring the seamless transition of acquired businesses into the group. You will work closely with senior management, building strong working relationships from the off, leveraging your project management skills and financial acumen to execute integration plans efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the mergers & acquisition team to ensure financial considerations are integrated into deal processes.
• Oversee the successful execution of integration plans within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Manage of 1 Assistant Accountant & support their professional development.
• Implement financial controls and accounting policies in acquired entities.
• Lead month-end processes and facilitate the transition to the group accounting system.
• Prepare statutory accounts and manage the transfer of tax preparation responsibilities.

Your experience:

You will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA) with at least 1-2 years post qualification expeirence, this may be your first or second move from practice. You will need a strong understanding of UKGAAP and possess proven project accounting experience of a similar nature, perhaps you have been part of a transaction services team, but ideally you will have experience within Acquisitions. Your interpersonal skills are well developed and you will need exceptional attention to detail.
