Wise May are looking for a proactive, analytical Insurance Assistant / Technical Accountant to join a leading international Reinsurer. Working in the global team you will facilitate drive data-driven decision making and work with stakeholders to support their reporting requirements.
Insurance Assistant / Technical Accountant duties:
Understanding the data received from the client to ensure that it meets the desired level of detail required.
Managing the individual data and accounts of allocated clients onto the Single Risk platform and Accounting system.
Investigate any difference in premium calculations.
Managing the claims portfolio for allocated clients and ensuring accuracy of the claim notification and liabilities, investigating any exceptions that arise.
Carry out regular reviews to ensure the accuracy of outstanding claims.
Ensure that cash settlements are made on a timely basis.
Understand the co-reinsurance structure between the UK and Ireland and any settlements are in line with the respective client shares, as documented in the treaty.
Involvement in the administration both internal and external, as and when required.
Insurance Assistant / Technical Accountant skills and attributes:

Experience in data handling
Very good administrative skills

Accurate with attention to detail
Good Communication skills (Electronic and Verbal)
Good knowledge in Accounting principles
