We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Insurance Sales Advisor to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will manage incoming enquiries, assist customers in protecting their assets and liabilities, and contribute to the sales team’s success by achieving sales and retention targets. This role is perfect for someone with a strong sales background and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Day to day of the role:
  • Manage incoming calls from existing customers and handle their enquiries.
  • Produce and issue documentation for renewals, mid-term adjustments, and new policies.
  • Guide customers in selecting appropriate coverage to protect their material assets and liabilities.
  • Secure policy renewals and address mid-term enquiries through diligent follow-up.
  • Make outbound calls to assist with renewals and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Work productively within a sales team, contributing to discussions on progression and positive change.
  • Achieve individual and team sales & retention targets.
  • Cross-sell and advise on additional products that benefit clients.
  • Maintain and grow income from existing customer base.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with Insurers and Underwriters.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer service standards, and external regulations.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of all products and services to effectively assist customers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade A-C.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate findings into action.
  • Good planning, organisational, and time management skills.
  • A proven track record in meeting sales targets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to build successful business relationships.
  • Willingness to learn, develop professionally, and obtain CII membership and qualifications.
  • Polite and cooperative attitude towards customers, brokers, and colleagues.
Industry Experience:
  • Competence in selling SME general insurance.
  • CII FIT Qualification or willingness to undertake study upon role success.
  • Relevant experience in a branch and/or broker sales position.
  • Understanding of the UK insurance market and its dynamics.
  • Experience with e-trading platforms; Acturis experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • A strong track record in delivering on sales targets
