If so, I have a fantastic BRAND NEW role with a fantastic Cheltenham based Insurance Business.

I’m currently exclusively partnering with my client on their hunt for their next Senior Commercial Technician.This full-time, permanent position involves working in the office four days a week (Monday to Thursday) with the option to work remotely half a day Fridays.The successful candidate will have previous experience in an insurance role and will have provided client support at a senior level. 

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage new business opportunities and renewals alongside the Managing Director, ensuring optimal use of the MD’s time.
  • Provide general administrative and technical support to the MD and liaise with the wider team as necessary.
  • Handle new and renewal business inquiries, including incoming email correspondence and telephone calls.
  • Ensure daily tasks and time-sensitive items are completed.
  • Issue replies to external correspondence and assist in managing the MD's email inbox.
  • Obtain new business quotations and assist with renewals directly from insurers and underwriters.
  • Prepare and check client documentation in accordance with company standards.
  • Review and ensure accuracy in policy documents, schedules, and claim files.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the insurance industry.
  • Previous experience providing senior-level client support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for working in a specialist insurance market.
  • Team player mentality with a cheerful, friendly, confident manner.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions where necessary.
  • Excellent time-management, organisational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within and outside the organisation.
