A newly established and forward-thinking law firm based in Manchester City Centre is seeking a Business Recovery and Insolvency Solicitor to join its growing legal team. As an Insolvency Solicitor, you will be responsible for handling a diverse caseload of both contentious and non-contentious corporate insolvency matters. You will work closely with insolvency practitioners, lenders, directors, and other stakeholders, providing clear, commercially sound legal advice throughout complex restructuring and recovery processes.

• Advise insolvency practitioners and corporate clients on administration, liquidation, receivership, and restructuring matters
• Draft and review legal documents including insolvency applications, statutory notices, settlement agreements, and litigation pleadings
• Handle contentious insolvency matters including claims against directors, misfeasance proceedings, and asset recovery
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations
• Provide strategic support to office holders managing distressed businesses or property portfolios
• Conduct legal research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of insolvency law and procedures
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to provide tailored, end-to-end client solutions

• Qualified solicitor with at least 1 year of post-qualified experience in corporate insolvency and business recovery
• Experience in both contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters
• Solid understanding of insolvency law and the wider regulatory framework
• Excellent drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach
• Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines within a fast-paced environment
