Role/Department: Northern Trust is seeking an experienced Strategic Threat Intelligence Analyst to join our Threat Intelligence team. In this role, you will support Northern Trust's efforts to reduce cyber risk by understanding the threat landscape we face, communicating that internally, and helping to mitigate those threats. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the threat landscape and an ability to communicate their analysis to different audiences and via different formats. The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Address Northern Trust's Intelligence Requirements by monitoring and analyzing developments in the threat landscape that could affect the organization's risk posture
- Support the delivery of existing products and services for internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with a variety of technical and non-technical functions across the organization to support risk-reduction efforts
- Engage and develop relationships with government partners, intelligence-sharing organizations and commercial providers. Represent the firm in industry groups and forums.
- Work to help mature the Threat Intelligence function, improve its products and services, and help it better engage with its customers
Skills/Qualifications - Analytic rigor and intellectual curiosity
- Experience in threat intelligence
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to executive audiences on complex issues
- Strong understanding of the global cyber threat landscape with a specific focus on the financial sector
- Ability to understand and explain the relevance of strategic geopolitical and technological developments
- Knowledge of intelligence tradecraft, structured analytic techniques, and risk assessment methodology. Experience working with threat intelligence and cyber security frameworks (STIX, MITRE ATT&CK, Kill Chain, NIST, CRI)
- Experience with a variety of threat intelligence use cases to support a wide range of customers
- Formal CTI qualifications (i.e. CREST, SANS)
- Understanding of global regulatory expectations related to threat intelligence
