Corporate Finance Analyst - In-House M&A

Birmingham | £30,000 - £45,000 + Bonus | Hybrid

We are working with a leading buy-and-build platform backed by a top-tier investment firm. With a proven track record of acquiring and growing founder-led businesses across Europe, they've just launched in the UK - and are looking for an ambitious Corporate Finance Analyst to be part of the founding team in Birmingham.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a fast-paced, deal-heavy environment and work on live acquisitions from day one - all within an entrepreneurial in-house team with investor backing.

The Opportunity

• Join the UK team at an early stage and help build a high-volume M&A pipeline
• Take on real responsibility across the entire deal lifecycle - sourcing, analysis, valuation, diligence, and execution
• Work closely with senior stakeholders, founders, and advisors across the UK and Europe
• Travel to meet target companies and visit group offices
• Enjoy a hybrid working model, a strong bonus structure, and exposure to portfolio growth post-acquisition

What You'll Be Doing

• Support the UK M&A Lead in managing and executing deals
• Proactively identify and engage with potential acquisition targets
• Build and manage relationships with advisors, industry experts, and business owners
• Conduct financial due diligence, valuation, and investment analysis
• Prepare investment memos and materials for internal decision-making
• Lead execution on smaller deals and support on larger strategic transactions
• Shape the culture and operations of a growing UK deal team

Your Profile

• Degree in finance, business, economics, or similar - strong academic track record
• 1+ years' experience in Audit, Accelerated M&A, Mergers and Acquisitions, transaction services, private equity, or corporate finance
• Strong excel/financial modelling, valuation, and accounting skills
• Confident analysing UK company financials (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Clear communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on, self-starter attitude
• Willingness to travel across the UK as needed
