Infrastructure Engineer - Robert Half : Job Details

Are you an experienced 3rd Line Engineer? Are you looking for a company that invests in technology and innovation?

We are working for an established client in Bournemouth who are recruiting for an Infrastructure Engineer to join the team. This role will be a 50/50 split between BAU infrastructure support and IT projects, working amongst a small team of 4.

The Role

As the Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the stability and integrity of the IT infrastructure, assisting the IT team with technical support across the whole corporate network. You will be responsible for optimising and upgrading all key infrastructure components including server, storage, backup, and network infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

• Server maintenance and upgrades
• Monitoring daily backups on Veeam
• Provisioning hardware and mobile devices
• Optimise and upgrade all key infrastructure services such as server infrastructure, storage, backups, and networks
• Scope out, plan and deliver IT projects

Skills and Experience

• Strong understanding of server and network technologies
• Experience in storage solutions such as Veeam
• Hands-on experience with virtualised servers (Hyper-V or VMWare)
• Ability to provide 2nd and 3rd line support
• Proven experience delivering IT infrastructure projects
• Must have full UK drivers' licence and have access to own transport

On Offer

• Salary on offer - up to £45,000
• Hybrid working (3 days in Bournemouth office, 2 days remote)
• 22 days annual leave (with bank holidays on top)
• 6% employer pension contribution
