Infrastructure Architect - IT Search & Select : Job Details

We are a leading Managed Service Provider based in London. We specialize in providing comprehensive IT solutions to our diverse client base across the UK and across many market sectors. As an Infrastructure Architect, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing and implementing both on-premise and cloud solutions for our clients, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.

Role Overview: As an Infrastructure Architect, you’ll be the technical visionary responsible for shaping our clients’ IT landscapes. Your expertise will span both traditional on-premise environments and cutting-edge cloud platforms. You’ll collaborate closely with clients, understanding their unique requirements, and translating them into robust architectural designs.

Responsibilities:

• Hybrid Cloud Solutions (Azure):

  • Design and implement hybrid cloud solutions that seamlessly integrate on-premises infrastructure with Azure.
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure smooth data flow between environments.

• Infrastructure Architecture:

  • Develop comprehensive architecture blueprints covering servers, storage, networking, and security.
  • Balance the needs of legacy systems with modern cloud technologies.
  • Collaborate with project teams to execute architectural plans.

• Security and Compliance:

  • Implement robust security measures across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Mitigate risks related to data privacy and access controls.

• Vendor Management:

  • Negotiate and manage vendor contracts for hardware, software, and cloud services.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions aligned with business goals.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Infrastructure Architect, preferably in an MSP environment although not essential.
• Strong knowledge of on-premises infrastructure (servers, storage, virtualization).
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services and architecture.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
