Matching Staff Solutions are working alongside our client to find a Information Request Officer. This is a contract from the end of May until December 2024. The Information Request Team is part of the Information Governance Team which has a flexible structure to meet the needs of the organisation.
Monday to Friday 09:00am - 17:00pm
The Role
Your main duties will include:
- Using iCasework (software), the Information Request Officer manages, responds and processes requests within statutory guidelines and within set timescales.
- Assesses requests against guidance to make sure the request is clear, liasing with customers to clarify information if required and ensures a good quality response.
- Evidences and appropriately articulates the public interest and prejudice test when required by legislation to support the use of qualified exemptions.
- Works to ensure that all paper and electronic requests held relate to particular requests.
- Develops and maintains the disclosure log on the website.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- Good general standard of education (minimum to GCSE standard or equivalent, including English & Maths)
- Strong commuication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to deal with conflicting deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Responds calmly to problems, seeking solutions and modifying plans as appropriate.
