An opportunity has arisen for an experienced financial adviser to take on and develop an existing client portfolio in the Barnstaple area. This position offers the flexibility to work on a Hybrid basis, and is open on either an employed or self-employed basis.
This is a client-facing role where you will guide individuals and families toward financial independence by understanding their short and long-term goals and delivering clear, strategic financial advice. You’ll be focused on building long-term relationships while delivering a consistently high standard of client service.
You’ll work in line with established advice processes and compliance standards, ensuring regulatory competence and maintaining high-quality client outcomes. You’ll also be expected to stay up to date with market developments, regulatory changes, and best practices while keeping accurate and current CPD records.
The role will involve acquiring and developing new business through referrals, networking, personal business planning, and marketing activity, as well as maintaining and growing relationships with professional introducers and existing clients. You’ll also have support in business development through centrally generated leads and marketing tools, including social media.
You must hold a Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or an FCA-recognised equivalent), with current CF30 status. A client-first mindset is essential, along with professionalism, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to build trust and rapport. You should also be confident in embracing digital communication tools and be comfortable delivering advice remotely or in-person depending on client needs.
