Income Recovery Officer

Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:45am - 5:15pm
- Friday: 8:45am - 4:45pm
- Hybrid working: 4 days from home, 1 day in the office
Our client is looking for someone to join their team as a Recovery Officer, where you will manage both business and residential accounts, ensuring efficient debt recovery and maintaining high standards of customer service. This role offers a blend of office and remote work, ideal for those who value flexibility and are driven to support operational service delivery.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage business and residential accounts effectively.
- Liaise with businesses and residents to ensure clear communication and resolution of issues.
- Conduct housekeeping reports and exercises to maintain account accuracy.
- Undertake debt chasing and control recovery processes.
- Action client requests promptly and accurately.
- Support operational service delivery to clients by ensuring compliance with corporate HR and Health & Safety policies.
- Mentor and support colleagues in their development within the organisation.
- Attend court twice a month to support the court officer, ensuring legal processes are followed accurately.
- Manage council tax accounts and liaise with enforcing agents to ensure compliance and resolution of issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in administration and account management.
- Experience in debt management and collection.
- Experience in managing council tax and dealing with enforcing agents.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver first-class service to a diverse range of customers.
- Skilled in gathering, organising, and managing information.
- Responsive and customer-focused with a commitment to customer care.
- Flexible approach to working patterns to meet business needs.
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with minimum grades of A-C /9-4 in English and Maths.
