Company

Our client is a rapidly growing sports equipment distributor based in Epsom. They distribute their products all around the world.

Responsibilities - Logistics

Freight Coordination: Manage the transportation of goods, coordinating with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

Documentation: Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading, export/import documentation, customs clearance forms, and other necessary paperwork.

Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with suppliers, warehouses, and distribution centers to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce transportation costs

Compliance: Stay updated with international shipping regulations, customs laws, and trade compliance requirements to ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.

Cost Management: Monitor and negotiate freight rates, manage transportation budgets, and seek cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.

Inventory Management: Coordinate inventory levels to align with shipping schedules, avoiding stockouts or excess inventory situations

Problem Solving: Address any issues or delays in shipments promptly, proactively finding solutions to minimize disruptions.

Customer Service: Liaise with customers, providing shipment status updates, resolving queries, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction

PA Duties : Managing the Directors diary ; scheduling meetings and appointments and ensuring efficient time managemen. Book hotels and flights for staff attending exhibitions and events. Support invoicing, accounts and bookkeeping activities. Collate and file expenses and ensuring accurate records are kept

Person specification

Efficient with excellent time management skills and prioritizing abilit

Familiarity with Xero is highly advantageou

Strong organisational skills

Excellent PC and Communication skills

Team player

Ability and keenness to learn

Salary

£28,000 - £35,000

Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

20 days holiday + bank holiday
