Junior Import Operator Job Description

Requirements:

• Minimum one year of experience in import operator duties within a small to medium-sized freight forwarding company.
• Proficiency in CNS and Destin8; familiarity with Multi-freight forwarding software is a plus.
• Attention to detail is crucial.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and take a proactive approach.
• Excellent English and Mathematics skills.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors, such as shipping lines, hauliers, and depots.
• Create internal files and generate invoices accurately.
• Manage supplier invoices and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Monitor vessel arrivals and coordinate timely collections and deliveries to meet customer deadlines.
• Conduct post-delivery follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and identify potential service opportunities.
