Salary - £28,000 to £32,000 +

Experience:

• Must have experience in completing customs entries
• We are looking for an experienced Import Operator to join our team in Felixstowe.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customs procedures and ideally have experience dealing with port health matters.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Handling all aspects of the import process from start to finish.
• Completing customs entries accurately and efficiently.
• Liaising with customers, shipping lines, and transport companies.
• Coordinating with port health authorities and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Monitoring shipments and updating customers on the status of their goods.
• Resolving any issues that may arise during the import process.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Import Operator.
• Strong knowledge of customs procedures and documentation.
• Experience with port health processes is highly desirable.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
