ICT Teacher - Prospero Teaching : Job Details

Start Date: September 2025

Contract: Full-time, long-term, Temp to Perm

Salary: £36,000 - £37,000 (dependent on experience)

We're looking for an experienced ICT Teacher to join a specialist secondary setting in Southeast London (SE16) this September. This is a full-time, temp to perm role (for the right candidate) teaching students across Key Stages 3 to 5, many of whom require additional behavioural and emotional support.

The school caters to young people with a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, alongside Special Educational Needs such as autism and ADHD. Classes have around 7 students per class with a Learning Support Assistant in every classroom.

This role would suit someone who's confident teaching ICT/Computer Science, with strong classroom management skills and a calm, consistent approach. You'll need to be resilient, patient, and genuinely passionate about working with students who may have had a difficult time in mainstream settings.

This role will also require someone to set up the curriculum as the school hasn't had a ICT teacher in a long time.

What we're looking for:

• QTS & NQTS welcome
• Experience teaching ICT or Computer Science in a UK classroom
• Proven ability to manage behaviour confidently and constructively
• Enthusiastic and a Get up and Goattitude is a must!
• SEN/SEMH experience is highly desirable
• Someone who is calm under pressure, adaptable, and grounded
• Able to travel to Surrey Quays - SE16
