ICT Teacher Needed!
  • Location: Caterham, Surrey
  • Salary: £18,810 - £27,707.40 per year (pro-rata for part-time) Plus £5,000 Welcome bonus*
  • Job Type: Part-time, 3 days a week

Reed Education are on the lookout for a dedicated & passionate ICT Teacher, to join our dedicated team at a scenic and inclusive specialist education centre for an ASAP or September start (IT'S NEVER TOO EARLY!)

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students aged 11 – 16 with communication and social interaction difficulties, typically associated with Autism. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on our students’ lives and contribute to our creative curriculum.

Your day planned out:
  • Deliver and develop the ICT curriculum, considering the educational, physical, and social needs of students within a supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to enhance student outcomes.
  • Utilise short, medium, and long-term planning in delivering the curriculum.
  • Set, monitor, and review personalised targets to optimise learning for each individual.
  • Assess, review, and report on student progress to various stakeholders.
  • Develop lesson plans with a reflective approach to teaching outcomes.
  • Contribute to the review of educational plans and participate in relevant meetings.
  • Provide structured lessons with a focus on maintaining pace, motivation, and challenge.
  • Stay informed on current issues in the field of autism to plan effective teaching and learning.
What is needed from you?
  • PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Ability to teach ICT up to GCSE level.
  • Knowledge and experience with ASD, SEMH, and PDA profile students.
  • Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Experience in managing a range of behavioural approaches, including those that challenge.
