Job Title: Humanities Teacher (Supply) - Sheffield

Location: Sheffield and surrounding areasSalary: £140 - £220 per day (depending on experience)Contract: Flexible, supply basis

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for passionate and adaptable Humanities Teachers to work on supply across a variety of secondary schools in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who are keen to share their knowledge of History, Geography, RE, or Social Sciences in diverse school settings, while enjoying the flexibility that supply teaching offers.

As a supply Humanities Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 (with KS5 available in some schools).

• Adapt quickly to different school environments and pupil needs.

• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

• Support schools with short-term cover, long-term placements, or day-to-day supply.

• Flexibility: You decide when and where you work, with the option to fit teaching around your lifestyle or other commitments.

• Variety: Experience different school environments, broaden your teaching practice, and build confidence in a range of settings.

• Work-life balance: Less planning and marking compared to a permanent teaching role, giving you more time outside of the classroom.

• Professional development: Access free and accredited CPD courses through Tradewind, keeping your skills up to date.

• Supportive team: A dedicated consultant who knows the Sheffield area and will match you with placements suited to your strengths and career goals.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

• Experience teaching Humanities subjects within a secondary school setting.

• Enhanced DBS check (Tradewind can support with this if needed).

• A flexible, adaptable approach and strong classroom management skills.
