Burman are supporting a leading higher education institution to appoint a two HR BPs - one on a permanent and one one a 12 month FTC basis. This HRBP will play a vital role in aligning HR strategies with the institution's goals and objectives. You will serve as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to department heads, administrators, and faculty members, providing guidance and support on a wide range of HR initiatives. Your primary focus will be on fostering a positive work environment, enhancing employee engagement, and driving organisational effectiveness within the dedicated faculty.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with department leaders to understand their unique needs, challenges, and goals, providing proactive HR support and solutions
- Collaborate with hiring managers to drive recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate selection, and onboarding processes, ensuring a diverse and talented workforce
- Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions, while ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs that promote fairness, equity, and inclusivity across the institution
- Conduct training sessions and workshops on topics such as diversity and inclusion, leadership development, and employee engagement, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth
- Analyse HR metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and drive data-driven decision-making within the organization
- Serve as a liaison between employees and management, advocating for employee needs and concerns while balancing the institution's interests
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and legislative changes affecting higher education HR practices, ensuring compliance and competitiveness
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR leadership team, contributing to the overall success and effectiveness of the HR function.
