HSE Manager - hireful. : Job Details

Are you an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety expert who has worked in manufacturing / distribution environments - ideally food?

This permanent, full-time role is based in Market Drayton working Monday to Friday day shift (no weekends or evenings!)

Salary £50-55,000 plus excellent benefits including generous holiday allowance, healthcare services, pension, free gym membership and other staff discounts.

So, what's the role?

This role is responsible for developing and delivering the site’s SHE improvement plan while monitoring progress against the SHE balanced scorecard.

You will advise on site-wide risks, create mitigation strategies, and ensure full compliance with legislation and company standards.

The position involves leading audits, emergency planning, and reporting requirements, as well as developing training plans to build capability across the site. You will manage relationships with external bodies, oversee statutory reporting, and support the implementation of group-wide SHE initiatives and campaigns.

In addition, you will provide coaching and guidance to SHE advisors or coordinators where required, while promoting safe, sustainable, and environmentally responsible operations.

What do I need?

• Relevant qualifications in Health, Safety and Environmental subjects e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH, IEMA, etc.
• Experience managing audits, risk assessments and improvement plans
• Experience conducting internal audits and managing to ISO standards e.g. 45001, 14001, 9001, etc.
• Previous experience doing a similar role in a similar environment e.g. manufacturing, engineering, logistics, warehousing, etc.
• Full UK dricing license
