Job Description :

We’re looking for a People Services Team Leader to join our Shared Service Centre in Bradford, on a 12 month FTC basis. This is hybrid working - 2 days in the office, 3 days remote.

This role is a point of contact for accurate, timely and consistent People advice and works directly with the business, People Team and internal stakeholders to understand and resolve employee related issues.

As part of our Employee Services team, you would be responsible for leading and developing a team of People Advisors as well as the operational and regulatory compliance of your team.

What will you be doing?

  • Create a positive culture within your team that delivers positive employee outcomes through strong levels of colleague engagement.
  • Complete regular 1:1 performance reviews and connected conversations.
  • Offer policy and procedural advice providing colleagues with relevant knowledge.
  • Be the first point of contact for any escalations.
  • Manage all workload in the team ensuring it is completed to a high standard, achieving deadlines and SLA's.
  • Identifying process improvements ensuring an employee focused, seamless approach is adopted.
  • Contribute to the shaping and implementation of the team, looking at continuous improvement within the team.
  • Ensure the delivery of operational change projects on a day-to-day basis, meeting project deliverables, timescales and objectives.
  • Assess and report on team performance against targets set to the Senior HR Operations Manager.
  • Ensure effective levels of Quality Assurance are undertaken throughout the month, whilst striving to improve right first-time metrics and quality of outcomes.
  • Ad hoc project related tasks.

We tend to look for people with:

  • Minimum L5 CIPD Qualification
  • Experience in a HR/Employee Services Team environment.
  • An understanding of the HR employee lifecycle, people policies and procedures.
  • An interest in understanding of employment law, its application and best practice.
  • Experience of helping to develop, implement and refresh policies and processes.
  • Previous Team Leader / Supervisory experience, in a similar shared service function.
  • Previous experience of driving continuous improvement.
  • Experience in having difficult conversations and providing feedback in an effective and efficient way.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Able to fully utilise standard Microsoft Office products and the application of HR Systems such as Oracle Service Cloud, Workday, and workflow/case management.
  • Time management, prioritisation and stakeholder management skills.
