Job Description :

A fast-growing British brand is looking for an experienced HR Operations Manager to lead and optimise its People Ops function. This role is critical in delivering a smooth, compliant, and people-focused experience across the entire employee lifecycle.

You’ll oversee payroll, benefits, HR administration, and data processes, while playing a key role in implementing HR systems and driving operational improvements. You’ll also manage a small team and collaborate closely with colleagues across People Partnering, L&D, Talent, and Internal Comms to support business growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and evolve People Operations processes including onboarding, offboarding, payroll, and benefits
  • Ensure legal compliance across all employment practices (e.g. GDPR, Right to Work, pensions)
  • Maintain and improve HR systems, with involvement in HRIS implementation projects
  • Deliver accurate people data, reporting, and dashboards to inform business decisions
  • Coach and support a high-performing People Ops team

About you:

  • Solid experience in a senior People Ops role, ideally in retail, hospitality, or a similarly fast-paced sector
  • Strong working knowledge of UK payroll (and ideally some international exposure)
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms and systems integration
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and proactive, with a strong compliance mindset
  • A collaborative leader with the ability to balance rigour and pragmatism
