A leading organisation in the multi-utility and infrastructure sector is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive aspiring HR Officer / Payroll Specialist to join their team.
About the Role:
This dual-role opportunity offers the best of both worlds—contributing to core HR functions while managing end-to-end payroll processes. Reporting to the Head of HR, you’ll play a key part in supporting the employee lifecycle, while ensuring accurate and timely payroll for a diverse workforce across multiple divisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll:
- Prepare and process weekly and monthly payroll using internal systems
- Ensure compliance with revenue and statutory obligations
- Manage payroll queries, reconciliations, and reporting
- Coordinate with finance on monthly reporting and cost allocations
HR:
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes
- Maintain and update HR records and employee files
- Assist in the rollout and communication of HR policies
- Support employee relations, compliance, and disciplinary matters
- Coordinate training, development, and health & safety documentation
What We're Looking For:
- 2-4 years of experience in HR and payroll administration
- Strong understanding of utilities sector a bonus!
- HR-related qualification or working towards CIPD (advantageous)
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and time management skills
- Discreet, professional, and trustworthy with confidential information
