Our client, a highly successful international company is looking to recruit a HR Manager to maintain and enhance the organisations human resources by planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs and practices.
As a supporting member of the Senior Management team, key responsibilities will include:
· Represent HR and take the lead on delegated strategic projects.
· Lead and represent the HR function, internally and externally.
· Working with the company to ensure that we successfully implement, a comprehensive HR Manager/Partner service, including areas such as employee relations and employee recruitment strategies, reward performance, diversity and development.
· Responsible for negotiating and managing supplier contracts to ensure a first-class service that provides value for money and enables the company to attract, recruit and retain diverse, appropriately skilled, high-quality individuals.
· Undertake duties supporting the recruitment and selection function including, creating contracts, job adverts, job descriptions, placing adverts, and uploading vacancy information to the web, internal boards, LinkedIn and all social media platforms via our internal Marketing department.
· Liaising with recruitment agencies. Arranging short-listings and interview packs. Attending interviews as a panel member and fully contributing towards the selection of successful candidates.
· Coordinate work placement and apprenticeship processes.
· Plan and conduct new employee inductions to foster positive attitude toward organisation objectives and ensuring a first class on-boarding experience is achieved. Ensuring all company documentation is signed and entered onto Cascade. Administer the probation process ensuring Managers know when review meetings need to take place.
· Ensure all payroll instructions are prepared and logged intime for the monthly payroll run and submitted to the payroll to accounts on time, for example, contractual variations, new starters, leavers, contractual benefits, staff benefits and pension details.
· To deliver the People Plan, support engagement initiatives and helping to resolve employee relation issues.
· Serve as a link between management & employees by handling questions, interpreting and administrating contracts and helping resolve work related problems.
· Represent the organisation at personal related hearings and investigations.
· Perform difficult staffing duties including dealing with understaffing, redundancies, refereeing disputes, terminating employees and administrating disciplinary and grievance procedures.
· Advise Managers on organisation HR and policy matters and recommend changes as needed.
· To build effective working relationships with senior post holders and management teams within the company in order to meet needs proactively in a climate of change by acting as a confidante, mentor and coach on all people issues.
· To support the process of change and organisational development within the facilities /services to drive continuous improvement and flexibility consistent with the cultural objectives, mission and aims of the Business Plan and Shaping our Future.
· Assist with annual appraisal cycle, record completed appraisals and provide annual reports on company, departmental and individual training needs.
· Undertaking duties supporting the organisations learning and development culture and organise staff training sessions, workshop and activities.
· To conduct annual employee satisfaction surveys within the organisation and produce a report based on the results including making suggestions for improvements.
As a successful candidate you will have experience within a proven “stand alone” HR Generalist experience, excellent communication skills and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and Excel together with a high attention to detail. A CIPD level 5 qualification is essential together with a highly structured way of working and documenting alongside an enthusiastic approach to your work.
