We’re seeking a hands-on, commercially minded HR Manager who thrives in a dynamic environment - someone who can lead a capable HR team while driving best practice and supporting leaders through the next phase of growth.

The Role

This is a broad, people-focused role where you’ll have both strategic influence and operational ownership. You’ll manage a small but high-performing HR team and act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on all people matters.

You’ll take ownership of HR operations, employee relations, and compliance, while also shaping the culture and manager capability needed to support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the HR operations team, ensuring excellent service delivery across the business.
• Provide expert, pragmatic guidance on complex employee relations issues.
• Coach and build confidence in managers to handle people matters effectively.
• Oversee all HR processes including onboarding, contracts, payroll, benefits, and HR systems.
• Partner with senior leaders to align HR initiatives with commercial goals.
• Review and improve HR policies and practices to reflect a growing, values-led organisation.
• Support employee engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion projects.
• Contribute to strategic HR planning and deputise for the People Director where required.

About You

• Proven HR generalist with experience in a fast-paced organisation.
• Strong leadership and people management skills - able to develop and motivate a small team.
• Commercially astute, confident working with senior stakeholders, and solutions-focused.
• Calm under pressure and happy to “roll your sleeves up” when needed.
• Excellent understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Exposure to payroll
