HR Manager
- Annual Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (subject to experience)

My client is seeking a compassionate and strategic HR Manager to support their growing team. This standalone role requires a proactive leader with experience in safer recruitment within a Children’s Services environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
Compliance and Policy
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment legislation and health and safety guidelines.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with best practices and organisational needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation.
- Manage HR-related paperwork and reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
Recruitment and Selection
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job descriptions, advertising, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Ensure all pre-employment checks are completed and compliant, including enhanced DBS certificates.
- Develop strategies to attract and retain talent.
Training and Development
- Maintain and track the staff training matrix, ensuring all staff are up to date with relevant training.
- Ensure staff have access to necessary training and resources.
- Oversee the evaluation of learning and development activities.
HR Administration
- Manage the administration of personnel records and documentation.
- Maintain employee data on the HR system – Sage HR.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in safer recruitment, preferably within Children’s Services.
- Adaptable, flexible, and open-minded.
- Ability to manage a heavy workload in a busy and ever-changing environment.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- CIPD Level 3 or above qualification is preferable but not essential.
- Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of employment law and best practices.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Safer Recruitment
