HR Manager – Lead with Purpose in Service

Are you an experienced HR professional ready to make a meaningful impact? We’re seeking a dynamic and strategic HR Manager to join our client's values-driven organisation in East Sussex.

?? Location: East Sussex?? Contract Type: 6-12 Month Fixed-Term Contract?? Salary: £50-£60k 

You’ll play a key role in shaping a positive workplace culture within our client's business, supporting operational excellence, and driving people-focused initiatives. You’ll lead on employee relations, talent development, workforce planning, and HR compliance — all within a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and staff
  • Lead on recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies
  • Manage employee relations cases with professionalism and care
  • Support organisational change and workforce development
  • Ensure HR policies and practices align with legal and ethical standards

What We’re Looking For:

  • CIPD-qualified (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record in HR leadership, ideally within public service
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage complex situations with discretion and empathy
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
