HR Manager

I have partnered with a fantastic organisation in Kent who are seeking an experienced HR professional to join a prestigious independent organisation set amidst the beautiful Kent countryside, offering a supportive and nurturing work environment. They are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic HR Manager with at least five years of experience as an HR Generalist/Business Partner/Manager/Leader/Advisor. This role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to a values-led company that prioritises the well-being and development of all members of the organisation.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead on all aspects of the HR lifecycle while undertaking strategic HR projects as required.
- Develop and monitor overall people processes, systems, and policies across the organisation to drive consistency and guide management in the application of these processes.
- Oversee the performance and development approach to drive positive behaviour and alignment to their values.
- Ensure legal compliance at all times, consulting with legal advisors as necessary.
- Lead on the end-to-end recruitment and selection process, ensuring compliance with the Safer Recruitment Policy.
- Manage staff onboarding, including the completion of all pre-employment checks.
- Oversee and maintain the Single Central Register and ensure compliance with inspection requirements.
- Support and advise management teams on performance management.
- Oversee the company payroll, pension schemes, and benefits provision.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of HR experience, ideally within a public sector environment, but this is not essential.
- Relevant HR-related qualification at degree or master level or CIPD level 5 or above.
- Strong knowledge of UK Employment Law and its application.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven track record in change management and coaching line managers to achieve positive outcomes.
- Ability to work flexibly and deliver under pressure.
- Outstanding organisational skills, capable of managing both operational and strategic priorities.
