My client is a not-for-profit organisation is seeking an experienced and driven Human Resources Assistant/Officer to join their team at the Head Office near Quinton. In this vital role, you will be the face of HR - providing exceptional service and support to colleagues across the business. Working within a small team you will be the initial HR point of contact, you'll handle all employee inquiries with professionalism and expertise.
This busy and varied role will entail:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Managing the full-cycle recruitment process including posting roles, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks
- Coordinating with hiring managers to understand position requirements and candidate needs
- Oversee the applicant tracking system and candidate communications
- Issuing offer letters and manage onboarding process for new hires
- Employee Relations
- Administer employee offboarding process including exit interviews
- Provide guidance to managers/employees on HR policies and employment law
- Handle employee relations issues such as grievances, performance management, etc.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS
HR Administration & Learning & Development
- Act as main point of contact for outsourced HR provider and Payroll, etc.
- Calculate payroll changes, process payroll data, and ensure accurate pay
- Oversee HR systems and DBS checks
- Compile HR reports and metrics related to headcount, turnover, training, etc.
- Manage the training system and reporting on employee training completion
The successful candidate will be an HR professional with a proven track record of handling HR generalist responsibilities with excellence. Experience within a generalist HR role with exposure to ER would be beneficial.
