HR Business PartnerOur client, a UK-based environmental services company, is looking for a new HBRP. This role involves working closely with the business to understand the organisation's strategy and goals, appreciating people demographics, the organisational culture, and developing people solutions and interventions that support the business objectives while enabling employees to achieve the highest performance. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, initiating and steering change, and managing stakeholder relationships.Day-to-day of the role:
  • Partner with assigned businesses and functions to develop direction and culture in line with the Head of HR and the HR department’s overall strategy.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership Teams to develop a people plan that supports business requirements for growth, change, and risk mitigation.
  • Partner with managers to influence more effective organisational design and use of people through job analysis, job redesign, restructuring, redeployment, training/development, and performance management processes.
  • Review and develop HR best practices and service offerings within the businesses and functions to drive efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Instil effective performance management and talent processes to ensure the businesses and functions are fit for the future.
  • Influence, coach, and mentor managers in the use of policies, procedures, HR frameworks, and employment legislation.
  • Work closely with HR Centres of Excellence, including Communications, Operations, and Recruitment, to act as a conduit into your businesses and functions, while driving support from the CoEs to resolve issues and action lessons learned.
  • Provide management information, detailed analysis, and trends that support business decisions, including reporting to the Head of HR for Business Reviews at Executive level.
  • Actively support, facilitate, and contribute to Group HR and wider business initiatives, ensuring that they are effectively delivered and embedded locally/divisionally.
Travel and Location:
  • The role is home-based but requires travel to Droitwich, Bristol, Waltham Cross, Knebworth, Rotherham, and Chichester.
  • Frequency of travel is determined by the needs of the business, typically not more than twice a week, with occasional weeks requiring no travel or up to three days of travel.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a similar HR role, ideally within retail, logistics, construction, facilities management, or FMCG sectors.
  • Demonstrable leadership qualities with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence leaders and suggest ideas on organisational design and use of people.
  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Ability to develop proactive and pragmatic HR solutions.
  • Strong project management and change management experience.
  • Holder of a professional HR qualification or qualified by experience.
