HR Assistant - 6-month FTC
Location: Preston (2 days per week in the office)Contract: Fixed term (until end of March 2026)
The Business
Our client, a well-established charity organisation with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality services, who are undergoing a large-scale project. To support this transition, they are seeking a detail-focused HR Assistant to join their HR team on a hybrid basis from their Preston office.
The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for a HR professional or strong administrator looking to gain experience in a large HR project environment. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth transfer process, with responsibility for handling sensitive employee data, producing accurate reports, and supporting communication across the business.
The Role
Working closely with the HR Business Partner, the HR Assistant will be responsible for:
- Drafting and issuing correspondence to employees and stakeholders.
- Maintaining accurate, secure, and compliant records.
- Collating and presenting employee data for reporting purposes.
- Assisting with employee queries and providing timely responses.
- Coordinating meetings, briefings, and information flow between internal and external parties.
- Inputting and maintaining HR data on HRIS systems.
- Managing pre-employment and compliance checks including right-to-work and DBS.
- Providing general HR administrative support where required.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with strong administrative and data management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and HRIS systems.
- Experienced in handling confidential information with an excellent understanding of GDPR and data protection.
- Able to work to a high level of accuracy under tight deadlines.
- A strong communicator with excellent written skills.
- Comfortable liaising with stakeholders and working as part of a team.
