Meraki Talent is partnering with a boutique Accountancy firm based in Surrey, looking for a HR Assistant. You will have previous experience working in an Accountancy environment, looking to develop and grow within an established HR team.HR Responsibilities:
- Handle day-to-day HR queries from staff and line managers, escalating as necessary.
- Support onboarding and induction of new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the firm.
- Maintain and update employee records, both digital and paper-based, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

- Help organise internal events and wellbeing initiatives.
- Support performance review cycles, training coordination, and CPD tracking.
- Ensure compliance with employment law and firm policies, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices.
- Support the team employee relations matters such as disciplinary and grievance procedures.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in an HR support role within an accountancy firm or professional services environment.
- Familiarity with HR processes, employment legislation, and best practices.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office and HRIS
- High levels of discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- CIPD Level 3 (or working towards)
- Experience with HR systems
- Knowledge of the SRA or ICAEW regulatory requirements (desirable)
