Job Title: HR & Health and Safety Coordinator

Location: Ferndown, Dorset

Salary: £DOE per annum

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 7.30 am / 8.00 am – 4.00 pm Monday – Thursday and a 1.30 pm finish on a Friday

Contract: Permanent

The Role

We are seeking a reliable and organised HR & Health and Safety Coordinator to join the team. This key role supports both HR and Health & Safety functions to help maintain smooth operations, compliance, and an excellent employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources:

• Manage and update employee records and HR systems
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes
• Assist with employee relations, including disciplinary and absence management
• Coordinate and track training activities and compliance
• Support HR communications and staff engagement

Health & Safety:

• Maintain and update risk assessments, audits, and safety documentation
• Coordinate safety training and toolbox talks
• Monitor workplace incidents and follow up on corrective actions
• Liaise with external health and safety consultants and internal teams

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in HR and/or Health & Safety administration or coordination
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Good communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information sensitively
• Comfortable using HR and safety management systems
• CIPD Level 3 and/or IOSH qualifications desirable but not essential
