HR Advisor

REED HR have partnered with a fantastic company in Kent who are seeking as an HR Advisor and play a crucial role in providing expert HR guidance and support. Day-to-day of the role:
- Update and maintain the HR Policy and Procedures Manual / Staff Handbook.
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation.
- Serve as the HR liaison for staff and management, addressing queries and providing support.
- Conduct initial interviews, issue offer letters and manage employment terms for office staff.
- Perform reference and right to work checks.
- Manage staff departures, maternity leaves, and retirements.
- Handle staff conflicts and disciplinary issues, assisting in resolving staff/management concerns.
- Set up and maintain accurate personal files for new employees.
- Prepare and maintain job descriptions and employment contracts.
- Stay informed on market salary data to ensure competitive compensation.
- Maintain accurate HR records, including appraisals, performance reviews, and monitor key performance indicators.
- Provide payroll processing support to the Finance Department.
- Record and monitor absence, holiday, and overtime.
- Assist with P11D information for year-end and support updating the Health and Safety policy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification.
- Proven experience in a standalone HR generalist role.
- Background in care is desirable but not essential.
- Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
