We have partnered exclusively with an established and growing business, and they are recruiting for a HR Advisor to join the business ASAP.
This is office-based Monday – Friday, with flexible working hours.
Reporting into the Head of HR this is a newly created HR Advisor role, supporting the business across all operational HR areas. The role will encompass all day-to-day HR functions including payroll, recruitment, ER, starters leavers, providing HR advice and guidance, executing people focused policies, programmes, and processes.
Key responsibilities and duties include;
- Working as a team of 2, reporting into the Head of HR, supporting c160 employees (plus up to 200 seasonal workers)
- Generalist HR role covering all day-to-day operational HR, plus supporting with payroll
- Advise on and ensure compliance with UK employment law and internal HR policies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
- Provide advice and guidance on ER issues, including performance review, employment law advice, disciplinary and grievances, sickness and absence etc
- Support, coach, and develop people managers in the delivery of HR policies and processes
- Provide support to the Payroll Manager on payroll and pay related matters, including providing payroll information, holidays and sick leave, starters / leavers and salary changes etc
- Manage the payroll for some smaller divisions of the business, which will include end to end payroll processing (training will be provided)
- Support and lead on recruitment, including writing job specs, screening CV’s, arranging, and attending interviews and taking references
- All day-to-day HR matters including HR administration, produce and issue offer letters, contracts of employment, reference requests, right to work checks and changes to terms and conditions documentation etc
- Manage the HR system and provide key HR data analytics
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives such as employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and wellbeing programmes
- Travel to other locations for HR reviews and attend people focused meetings (ad-hoc)
For this role candidates will ideally be studying towards CIPD, have proven HR experience at this level and ideally have exposure with payroll. Candidates will ideally have experience working within blue collar industries.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with the excellent influencing and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues.
