As an HR Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a proactive and effective HR service across the business. You will provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on a wide range of HR matters, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line HR advice and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance.
- Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and fairness across the organisation.
- Assist with recruitment and selection processes, including drafting job descriptions, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems.
- Support organisational change initiatives such as restructures, TUPE, and redundancy processes.
- Deliver HR-related training and briefings to line managers.
- Monitor and report on HR metrics such as absence, turnover, and engagement.
- Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Person Specification
- CIPD Level 5 qualified or working towards it.
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Confident in advising and influencing managers at all levels.
