HR Advisor

We are seeking a professional HR Officer to join our team on a temporary to permanent basis. This role involves providing expert advice, guidance, and support on a range of complex employee relations and employment law issues. The HR Officer will assist the HR Business Partner in maintaining total HR compliance across the region.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide daily expert and professional advice to registered managers on a wide range of HR issues including attendance management, disciplinary actions, grievances, restructuring, redundancy, change management, flexible working, and performance management.
- Handle all administration related to the cases you advise on, such as drafting invites to meetings, dismissal letters, etc.
- Undertake project work and policy development as directed by the HR Business Partner.
- Stay updated with developments in employment legislation and case law, ensuring that managers are briefed on relevant changes.
- Act as an advisor and counter-signatory for Disclosure Barring Services, adhering to relevant codes of practice and child protection procedures.
- Maintain and provide statistical and management information on turnover, absence, and conduct.
- Manage suspension casework with the aim of resolving issues swiftly.
- Conduct inductions and provide advice on conditions of service issues like maternity leave.
- Ensure all HR records are accurately entered into the database and maintained securely and in compliance with legal standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- CIPD qualification or part-qualified.
- Proven experience in an HR Officer role.
- Strong knowledge of employment law.
- Proficient in computer usage and MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organisational skills.
- Self-motivated and able to travel throughout the company.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain discretion.
