Job Title: HR AdvisorLocation: Can be based from the Glasgow or Edinburgh Office (Hybrid Available)Salary: Up to £38,000 per annumWe are currently supporting a well-regarded professional services firm in their search for an experienced HR Advisor to join their collaborative HR team, working from either their Edinburgh or Glasgow office. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing and forward-thinking business where HR plays a central role in shaping culture and driving strategic goals.Reporting directly to the HR Director, this role offers the chance to be involved in the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and talent development to employee relations and project work. It’s ideal for a proactive HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted adviser to partners and senior stakeholders, driving HR initiatives aligned with the firm’s growth strategy.
- Lead recruitment campaigns, including coaching hiring managers on best practices.
- Support early careers recruitment including graduate schemes, summer placements, and law fairs.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management cases.
- Assist departments with performance development and embedding a high-performance culture.
- Drive succession planning and career development initiatives across business functions.
- Deliver HR reporting and analytics to inform strategic decisions.
- Maintain and update HR systems and records in line with GDPR compliance.
- Support legal/regulatory processes including those relevant to professional bodies.
- Contribute to wider HR projects including Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and Wellbeing programmes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver internal HR-related training sessions.
- Support and mentor the HR Assistant on administrative and operational HR tasks.
About You:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a generalist HR role and ideally be CIPD qualified
- Confident knowledge of UK employment law and strong employee relations experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Organised and detail-oriented with a proactive, can-do attitude.
- A strong team player with the ability to work independently and flexibly.
- Comfortable working with HRIS systems and proficient in Microsoft Office.
