HR Administrator
Location: Redbridge
Hours: 36 hours per week, term-time only (44.8 weeks per year)Salary: £28,521-£28,929 FTE per annum (Pro-rata: £24,505.96-£24,856.52 per annum, depending on experience)Contract: Permanent, Term Time OnlyStart date: As soon as possible
About the Role
A highly motivated, organised, and professional HR Administrator is sought to join a central HR team supporting a group of schools based at a campus in Redbridge.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-performing HR function and gain exposure across the full employee lifecycle while supporting the organisation’s strong commitment to safeguarding and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality administrative support to the HR Team across the full employee lifecycle.
- Assist with recruitment campaigns, onboarding, and offboarding processes, ensuring safeguarding and compliance procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain and update HR records, personnel files, and the Single Central Register (SCR) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support payroll by preparing accurate employee data and liaising with the Payroll team.
- Conduct pre-employment checks, including DBS, references, right to work, and qualifications.
- Track and monitor employee absences and probation periods, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.
- Assist with HR reporting, workforce census preparation, and metrics analysis.
- Support the ongoing development of HR processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Be a first point of contact for HR-related queries, providing a professional and confidential service at all times.
- Keep up-to-date with safeguarding policies, Keeping Children Safe in Education, and organisational HR policies to ensure compliance and best practice.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in an administrative role, ideally in HR or education.
- Is highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Communicates clearly and professionally, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Is committed to safeguarding and understands the importance of compliance in an education setting.
- Is a team player, flexible, proactive, and keen to learn.
- Has good IT skills, including MS Office and HR systems (training can be provided).
