HR Administrator
  • Temporary 5–6-week contract, possibility of permanent contract
  • Full time, office based 
  • Central Portsmouth location

Join our client's team as an HR Administrator, where you will be instrumental in providing professional HR support across various functions such as recruitment, onboarding, learning & development, and more. This role is office-based, requiring presence 5 days per week, and offers the opportunity to work closely with a dynamic HR team to ensure the smooth operation of HR activities.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Employee Record Management: Maintain and update records in the HR Information System, ensuring all employee documentation is current and compliant.
  • Recruitment: Manage the recruitment process from job advert preparation to candidate onboarding, including interviews, communication with candidates, and contract creation.
  • Onboarding: Handle the entry of new starter details into the HR system, prepare onboarding documents, and ensure comprehensive onboarding training.
  • Payroll and Benefit Administration: Assist with payroll changes, manage payroll queries, and support the administration of employee benefits.
  • Reporting & System Management: Generate various HR reports for management, including absence management, recruitment status, and regulatory reporting.
  • Learning & Development: Support the administration of training programs, ensuring compliance with required training and updating records in the HRIS.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations issues, addressing them with professionalism and discretion.
  • General Administration: Provide comprehensive administrative support across all HR functions, including system management and data audits.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience: Significant administrative experience in a similar or related HR role.
  • Skills: Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft packages, and digital communication tools.
  • Competencies: Excellent organisational skills, ability to multitask, and work under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of Data Protection legislation and experience handling sensitive data.
